You play as three different characters endeavoring to survive the invasion, and making difficult choices along the route. Left Alive will, apparently, feature a point of choice that alters the way the story plays out.

A post to the PlayStation Blog describes an example as obtaining two or three soldiers holding refugees at gunpoint. Don’t you rush in so you can save the refugees, or stealth your path around and not just risk your way of life? Choices such as this will affect the two supplies you might have, and your character’s story.

Characters designs are finished by Yoji Shinkawa, the renowned character designer from the Metal Gear series. Additionally, Wanzer designs will be performed by Shinkawa and Takayuki Yanase (Xenoblade Chronicles X). Left Alive has directed by Toshifumi Nabeshima, the principal director from the Armored Core series.
